- Pashupatinath Temple, near Kathmandu. One of the holiest shrines to Shiva that exists. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River. A mazey collection of courtyards, bridges and buildings. Has an assured feel to it. We went on the most auspicious day of the calendar, Shivaratri Festival.
- Royal Chitwan National Park, Elephant rides, trekking, kayaking, One Horned Rhino spotting. Fantastic countryside with the grey-pink glow of distant mountains in the backdrop.
- Trekking from Pokhara, 7 day trek to a view point of the Annapurnas. It was a brilliant experience, our guide was a real good guy and the Tea Houses we had for accommodation are all you could want after a long day of lugging a backpack. Dawn Himalayan views and dips in hot spring pools and an icy river.
